Shumujong is a simple free online mahjong game which is fun to play due to its simplicity. Unlike other mahjong games where you have to remove a pair of identical tiles, and others where you have to remove opposite but complimentary tiles, in this one, you have to remove tiles which add up to a certain number which is placed on the side of the Shumujong game. For example, if all the tiles must add up to 10, then you have to look for tiles that add up to 10. But that is not the only uncanny rule; you can use as many tiles as you want. This means that if you are asked to get a total of 20, you can use 5 tiles with the number 4 printed on top of the tiles. Shumujong comes in two modes; there is the single player mode which you ca play on your own, but since they keep the game on their server, you can also link up and play this game with other players in the multi player mode. This is in keeping with the tradition of this game, where it was played by 2 to 4 players at the same time. As you go up the levels the arrangement change and become more difficult and you may find yourself using more than two tiles in order to make the total required. You should also be very fast since it will help you in getting more in terms of a bonus score. When in multiplayer mode, each player will remove tiles and let the next player do the same, as he awaits his turn. In the end, the player with the most tiles, or the tiles that add up to the highest total will win. Shumujong is a fun game for keeping you busy when you have too much time on your hands. Have Fun!

Mahjong will never cease to amaze, as newer versions come up with new rules. Traditionally mahjong was created as a game where tiles with at least 2 sides free could be removed. Today, they say only one side need to be free for the tile to be removed. This meant that tiles in the middle of a trip could not be removed even since they only had one side free; the only tiles that could be removed in such a column were the two at each end, and one would work his or her way inward from the ends. After that came the mahjong that does not use traditional symbols. Then came the issue of seasonal tiles and after that the tiles that were opposite and complimentary. Now you have come across a mahjong game in which you have to work with the numbers to add them up to the required total. It does not matter how many tiles that you use, as long as you make the total. Even as you play this game, you can go through the various types of mahjong that you have seen today and be amazed. This is also an amazing concept too, and you are yet to see more.
